Have You Ever Sharpened a Handsaw?

If you have, then you’ve probably found it’s hard at first.

It takes practice and patience because you have to sharpen every single tooth. Which is tedious.

I remember hearing my uncle onetime say “a guy’s no damn good if he can’t sharpen his own tools.”

After that, he showed me one by one, going through the different tools in his shop and how to sharpen or take care of them so they last.

When we got to the handsaw he painstakingly showed me to file each one by one.

I quickly got a knack for it and would go around during workdays sharpening tools for my father, uncle, and some of his crew. (He had a construction company and would pay me for some ‘odd jobs’ like this)

Any way, if you don’t want to sharpen a handsaw today, your local hardware store can probably do it in an hour or less. Call them up.

Or, if you’re into outdoors and using basic tools, there’s a guidebook on tools, and how to care for them safely in my Ultimate Survival Library check it out here Essential Survival Guide Library
